New Addition

So nothing too exciting happened from Christmas until just recently
Just living life, and enjoying the married life and the marine life

A couple weeks ago, it was really warm and we were bored so we decided to take a short trip to San Diego and go to Sea World.  There were soo many people though being spring break and all so we didnt stay for very long.  We just rode the new roller coaster like 12 times, checked out some animal life and then went to dinner at Shoguns.  After we were done we headed home and about 10 minutes later I realized I forgot my fried rice! I was so sad, and if you have had fried rice from shoguns(tepanyaki, benni hana) then you know why I was so sad! that stuff is like gold.
So as we got home, I needed something to make me happy, so we went and looked at puppies at the pet shop, big mistake.  Two hours later we walked out with a ori-pei (pug - shar-pei) puppy!

this is our little Cooper!

he's a little terror, but we love him :)

Holiday's in SoCal

The absolute worst part about Jake being in the military, other than deployments,
is being away from family during the holidays!

Luckily for us, Braden had to do three more months of training at Camp Pendleton, so we got to spend every weekend with him and his battle buddy, James.
For Thanksgiving, mom and dad came to Oceanside to spend the weekend with us!
It was a lot of fun, and we ate SOO much food!
unfortunatley they had to leave and get back to reality but we were extremely happy that we got to spend Thanksgiving with some family!

For Christmas, we thought we were going to be all alone, but we embraced it and went with the flow!

We got a cute little tree to have a little but of Christmas in California since we had green grass still, and it didnt look or feel like winter!

Then, Courtney invited us to come have Christmas dinner with her family!

Thank you Saki family for letting us crash your Christmas! love you all :)

Braden's USMC Boot Camp Graduation

On October 5th my little brother graduated from boot camp and became a
United States Marine!

Mom and dad flew out on the 3rd and me and jake went and stayed with them in San Diego so that we could go see Braden ASAP!

Family Day was the day before graduation, and was the first time we got to see or talk to Braden other than letters in 3 months!  The day started out with a run and we were all sad because we couldnt find Braden! They all looked the same, but we later found out that he had rolled his ankle really bad and hadnt been able to run on it all week, so we felt better about not recognizing him haha.

Half of the day went by before we were finally able to get to Braden,  First we had to go in the theatre and watch a video about the Marine Corps and then went outside and they all marched in and stood in formation.  Keep in mind there are like 500 new Marines and each one of those has 2-10 family members waiting for them! So there were a lot of people.  After their DI's give them one last breif and then they are released and everyone, I mean EVERYONE goes crazy.  Its worse than when the doors open on Black Friday! People go EVERYWHERE! It took almost 10 minutes to find braden! But we finally found him and he almost started crying so it was all worth it :)  We ended up just spending the rest of the afternoon touring MCRD and listening to all the crazy stories Braden had to tell.  At the end of the day Braden was going to get his pictures for us, so we waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and then waited some more, and about 45 minutes later, his company marched past us, and then he messed up and kept walking straight while everyone else turned hahah
Needless to say, the day was over so we went and got dinner with grandma, grandpa and quin

he's so cute in his uniform!

It was SOOOOO hot! and at the end of the day, my skin was as red as my shirt!

The next morning was Graduation Day!
It was seriously the coolest thing ive ever watched!  The speakers sucked so we couldnt really hear anything that they were saying, but that was ok, that stuff is boring anyways.  Watching 500 Marines look like 1 person is MUCH more entertaining!
The best part was definitely the end, for more reasons other than it was lunch time ;)
At the end, each company gets released, and then yells "Oorah Marine Corps"
but the coolest part is that they get released one company at a time, but right after the next, so it makes a way cool ripple echo effect!
And then they were free and we had to fight the crowds again to find out new little boot!

lucky me, got to hang out with three awesome marines all day!
oh and got to see my hubby all decked out in his Charlies!

The day after graduation, we all went to Knotts Berry Farm!
The guys fell asleep before we even got there!

and then i joined them ;)

jake won me this little thing, first time a guy ever won me a theme park toy!!!
thanks babe :)

we then played this water shooting game, and me and jake got beat by little kids, so we played again, and I beat two marines in a shooting game!
BOOYA! take that :D

Grandpa just being all sorts of adorable

Had such a fun weekend! loved spending time with the family and so proud of my little brother!

Wedding Day

On September 1, 2012 I got to marry my best friend!

A couple days before the wedding, my best friend Courtney flew in from Napa, Jake flew in from San Diego and Jakes family flew in from Florida.

The days before the wedding we like anyone else's. kinda crazy! We had two days from the time we got the tuxes and got them fitted, to the wedding day!  But in between all that fun stuff, we just showed everyone around, and showed the city kid some real mountains :)
