April - October Update

Well in the last 6 months, not a lot has happened

 

For starters, our little man is no longer little!

 

 

Coopy the day we got him at 11 weeks old

 

 

and Coopy now, at 9 months! He's huge! but still oh so lovable

The most exciting thing that has happened us is that we are having a baby!!

 We found out that we are pregnant on June 25th and then had to wait for 7 more weeks before we were finally able to see our sweet baby.  It was torture but we made it :)  our little peanut is adorable and we were soooo excited!  We decided that we were going to wait until we were at the end of the first trimester before announcing it to the world, but we couldn't wait to tell our families so we told them right away!  We told my parents and brother and Jakes parents, grandma, brother and sister.  We were able to go on a week long trip to Utah a couple weeks later and we decided that it was time to tell the grandparents!  Everyone was so excited and now Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Monte are now at 4 great grandkids and Grandma LuDean and Grandpa Don and Grandma Judy and Grandpa Collin are going to have their first!

 

 

 

 

Jake was supposed to deploy again in October so we were really sad that he was going to miss more than half of the pregnancy and the first couple months of our babies life.  We were also told that we wouldn't be able to find out the gender until 20 weeks.. 2 weeks after Jake was scheduled to deploy.  So we found another ultrasound facility that tells you as early as 14 weeks! So we took it and we were able to find out at 15 weeks! On September 10th we got to see our sweet baby again and find out that we are having a...

 

 

We are so excited to welcome our sweet baby boy into the world!

 

Declan James McCann is due March 4, 2014!

On September 1st we celebrated our first anniversary! 

It doesn't seem like it has been a year already, but I guess it has! We have had our ups and downs and our struggles, but we have had so many laughs and good memories in our first year of marriage.  I wouldn't change a thing about our life and we had such a great day.

 

We spent the day together and just hung out and enjoyed each others company.  For dinner we went to the Melting Pot in the Gas Lamp District in San Diego.

It was AMAZING!

We got our own little table that had walls around it on three sides so it felt like we were alone in the restaurant.  We ate sooo much food and laughed a lot.  Im so lucky to have my best friend in my life and to be able to call him my husband.  I love more than I did on our wedding day and I cant wait for all the changes coming to our lives!

Finally in September, we got to go back to Utah for two weddings.  My best friend from high school, Sabrina, and my aunt Laci!

 

I was asked to do both of their cakes and I was really excited!

 

Sabrina and Josh got married on September 20th and their wedding was beautiful!  Im so happy for both of them, and so happy that Sabrina found someone that loves her so much and who loves Kadence like he is his own! Josh your an amazing person!

 

Laci and Bodey were married on September 21st! Finally! haha

Their wedding was beautiful and im so happy for them!  Laci asked me to do all of her desserts and thought oh heck ya! I can do that no problem.  But I was wrong, it was so stressful! It probably wouldn't have been so bad, if I only had one wedding but I had two...and a kitchen built for everyday living. Not catering!  But we made it and both weddings turned out fabulous so that's all that matters!
